The New England Sports Network showed up last year and helped spread the word about a budding new event in Meredith, NH. Now that the event has nearly doubled in size and shows no sign of slowing down, they’re back again. This 2 minute 30 second video shows some of the participants and action from this year’s event, which took place February 4-6.

Quick note for NH-area players and fans: the first participant interviewed in the clip may look a little familiar. Derek Bekar isn’t just a men’s league schlup like many of us. He played at the University of New Hampshire, following up his Wildcat career with stops in the NHL, AHL (including 125 games with the Manchester Monarchs), and several seasons in Europe. Just goes to show you the caliber of players at these events, and proves that you never know who you might be playing against!
