If I said you could play pond hockey in the shadows of some of North America’s tallest skyscrapers, you’d probably ask me where you could sign up.
And, well, I’d point you here: http://streakersports.us1.list-manage.com
That’s because registration is now open for the 2014 Big Apple Pond Hockey Classic, one of our gold partner events, taking part once again in New York City’s Bryant Park. The tourney takes place March 1st and 2nd, 2014, and registration is a lottery-style, meaning entries will be drawn for spots in the event. That drawing will take place on January 8th, and accepted teams will be notified.
Curious what Bryant Park looks like in the winter? This video gives you a taste.
A recap of last year’s event is also featured on the event’s homepage, found at http://www.bigapplepondhockey.com.

This tournament has a steep entrance fee, but its definitely worth it. I played in it last year and it was awesome to play hockey in the heart of NYC. Hoping my team gets in again this year, can’t wait for it!
