Alternate option for sloped area??

Postby puckhead14 » Sat Nov 15, 2014 8:57 am

Anyone ever try building up the deepend by laying down pallets and then cover with plywood? I'm thinking of duct taping down strips of towels over all the plywood seems to protect the liner incase it settles a bit. Does this sound crazy? Would I be better off just filling the entire rink as is. 8-9" of slope from one end to the other.

I've seen pics of some builds (I believe it was Joe) where they filled the deep end with styrofoam blocks. I have a good 8-10" inch slope and just fill the whole thing with water.

I'd be really interested in seeing how this was accomplished. I moved my rink this year due to its larger size and I've got a lot more slope than I'd like.

Here's the link to the forum discussion:

I'll see if I can track down the picture he posted. He's busy with installs so not on the site a lot this time of year.
