My First Rink (in it's preliminary stages)

Postby Danny » Mon Nov 11, 2013 12:38 pm

This is my first ever rink in Matawan, NJ. It will be 20' x 40' without any impressive looking boards but I'm sure if all goes well this winter, in the summer I will have my hands full of awesome projects.

You are right about the yard cleanup. Nice little spot for a starter rink. I definitely see the potential for a much larger rink in the future as well as a boatload of firewood! :-)

Yea, cleanup is a real pain. Unfortunately I'll need to get an excavator back there to chip away at the untapped land. For now, 20'x40' was all I could fit. Really can't wait to begin construction. The biggest issue is going to be waiting for the cold nights to flood. I can see myself getting over excited and wanting to flood in 50F weather.
