35 x 52
First ever attempt at a rink and I'm still very nervous about the flood.
I've got a bunch of green pool noodles to cover the boards and I still have to put up the net:

Looks fantastic! Nothing looks better than freshly made rinkboards.

Looks fantastic and welcome!
Fellow Chicago area guy (St. Charles). My dad is your neighbor (Fox Lake).
Couple of questions:
- What do you have holding up the lights/cords - to my eyes, looks like 2" PVC.
- What lights do you have? I still have to buy mine.
- When are you planning on liner down/flooding? Since we are in the same place, let's bounce it off each other.
I'm building my rink on Saturday - wish me luck!

-2x3 studs painted white
-it's called temporary lighting. 100' cord with ten weather proof light sockets. Someone gave it to me years ago and I finally have a use for it.
-I'm seriously tempted to flood now, but will probably wait until mid/early December.
-GOOD LUCK!

I've decided to flood wednesday night before Thanksgiving.
It should take 20-24 hours.
The five day outlook after then is 27(13), 23(16), 27(19), 27(23), 29(21).
There's only a 10% chance of precipitation after thursday.
Hopefully, that puts us skating Tuesday night after work!

I'm going to spend my weekend building my zamboni (garden cart w/35 gallon storage totes), setting up the "locker room", and making a few extra "goodies" for the rink.
I feel like a kid before x-mas right now...

Might wanna recheck the forecast.
Looks like mid to upper 30s on Sat/Sun and into the 40's on Monday of next week.
Bummer. I was hoping to flood her later this coming weekend as well. Oh well, I guess I do the full Clark W. Griswold and put up Christmas Lights.
