40x80 with full 42" finished height off ice boards.
Rink was fully designed on solidworks before building.

That is unreal. Great work! Could I ask you to post how you built the boards, particularly the corners? Getting that top piece to curve seems to be the hardest part.

I will also update the cad drawing above as that's a old version i just noticed.
Corners are very simple actually.
I will be building the last 4 corner sections this weekend.
Also have actually NHL style door design i will share.

As a note.
Takes two of the posted above corner sections to complete 90 degrees

I look forward to hearing about the corner pieces as well. I need to replace mine as they are starting to fall apart and since I didn't build them, I'm going to need some help.

Sorry for the late reply.. Been busy getting rink finished.

For the corners i used 3 layers of 1/2 ply that was CNC cut with the radius. The thickness equals the same as a 2x4 used on the straight boards.
2 half's make up 90 degrees.
My boards are made of 3/4 ply so i used to sheets of 3/8 ply on the corners. The 3/8 ply bends nice.

There was a guy in Westford (MA) who was selling full rink boards. I looked at them on behalf of a customer, who ultimately decided not to move forward. Oddly enough, my cousin bought them last weekend for his rink. I say this because that's EXACTLY how he made the top rail - layered ply. I intend to do this for my rink in the next month. Thanks a ton for the pics and explanation!

One question - did you use the layered 1/2" ply for the base of the boards too? Meaning the part that the vertical 2x4's sit on top of?
