Our Pond Rink

Here is our pond on it's 2nd year, well actually it's 1st year. Last year we were on a different pond a little bit smaller and no boards. We decided to upgrade this year to boards, a ridable sweeper and bigger pond. This has been a learning experience for my brother-in-law and I but we are quick learners. this year we decided to put up boards to keep the puck in play, we got tired of digging in snow banks for the puck. We have some small changes to make for next year which we've already started doing this year. learn as you go, right? Next year we plan on putting in lights and a warming hut/changing room. Here are a few pics, the rink measures about 175 ft by 70 ft, the boards are 16" high. Well I had to use a bad pic from my phone because the good pics are too big and unfortunately I don't have editing capabilities. Well here is a pic to give you a rough idea anyway. By the way we are looking for more players!!!!! let me know if you are interested.

It must be nice having your choice of ponds! "Oh this one is ok but it's too small - let's move to that other one over there." :-)
