Happy Hockey Day Minnesota!

Best day of the year here in MN. Nonstop hockey from 7AM until midnight. Woke up early to get in a skate on the rink first thing this morning, currently watching a couple of outdoor High School games on TV. Going to walk up the road after lunch to check out the then heading over to Mariucci to catch the Gophs vs. Sioux, and finally back home in time to catch most of the Wild - Avs season opener with a cold beer or two (or three).

Received one of those tiny action video cameras for Christmas to take on our fly-out fishing trip this coming summer. Of course, being a guy, summer is too long to wait to play with my new toy, so had to try it out yesterday afternoon/evening out on the rink.

Despite some poor aim on my part I managed not to break it. Thing took a puck like a champ and kept right on filming, lol.

Fantastic video! I'm crazy jealous as I suffer thru a weekend in high 40s and just over an inch of bumpy ice. But help is on the way with a local forecast of a deep freeze for the next 7-10 days.
Besides the obvious of living the dream of driving a seemingly 1/2 scale zamboni, what is that cool device you are playing pass with?

As for the 'passer', I'm thinking a triangular piece of plywood, with three pieces of 2x4 at each corner, wrapped with some strong rubber elastic. HAS to be cheaper to make than $100?
