My only concern is that it would create slush. If you're spraying water onto ice shavings (say, after a skating party), then you'll create insta-slush. With a normal resurfacer, that slush gets matted down with the towel and smooths everything out. With the squeegee, you'd end up pushing around this pile of slush. I guess you could push it into the boards, but not sure I see the point. You're basically putting water down in front of the squeegee and then pushing it away - why put it down at all?
I love squeegee's for rinks, but this doesn't really appeal to me.
