Hey all,

Thanks to each of you for signing up and helping to grow the information base we have here. This is my first time managing a phpbb board, so I wanted to get your feedback on some settings. Feel free to post anything that will help you have a better experience here.

My specific questions:

-When you post, it takes you to a confirmation page. Would you prefer it take you back to the topic, as most other boards do?

-How do you feel about locations being listed under your username with each post?

-Any thoughts on avatars (images under your username)? Would you use one?

I like the fact that locations are listed, with a community spread so far over the map it is nice to know where people are when they are talking about weather or ice conditions.

I like the avatar idea, I would use one.

We've enabled locations under your username. But they won't show up unless you enter in your location in your profile. To do that, go to the 'User Control Panel' link under the forum banner, then on the left, click 'Profile'. It will give you a list of fields you can enter, and location is one of them. Once you fill that out, it will show up with each one of your posts. I agree that it's helpful to see who's skating where as all of our climates can be different.
