Ok, as I type this Wisconsin is getting it's first decent snow storm along with the first good below freezing cold spell. The snow is supposed to let up late tonight/early Friday morning.

My question is: Should I get the snow blower down to the pond tonight or wait until after work on Friday to snowblow and flood for hockey this weekend? I know you should get snow off as quick as you can but the snow wont be done till late.

What do you think (Leaning towards attacking on Friday)

Haven't made a rink on a pond since I was a kid... I would suggest that you stop at the liquor store on the way home from work on Friday, grab a 6-pack (at minimum) and plan your Friday evening around clearing the snow and prepping the ice. Good chance that you go out tonight, clear the rink and another squall will hit overnight so you'd have to clean it tomorrow anyway - it never fails. I don't think Mother Nature isn't a big fan of backyard rinks.
