This odd winter....

.....brought a new problem to light on the rink pond.

We had a stretch of warmer temps that had melted the small "snow banks" that we had used as our "Boards" for the rink. Last night, I threw some water on the pond and a lot of the water just ran off the pond area and into the unmaintained area of ice. It was not that big a deal as I was just trying to fill in some dips and rough spots.

Any thoughts on what you can do when you don't have your "Snow Boards"??? Or is that just one of the things that come with the territory.
