My Homeboni/Rink Rake

Well, while waiting for ice (looking good for late this week - Christmas ice perhaps?), I tacked together a home-boni of sorts to pass the time. First, put a deck chair on "skis" since all I could picture was it snapping off a leg in the cold and spilling precious warm water everywhere. Then, cannibalized the plastic piping and couplings from one of the kids' broken toys (it was a plastic tube frame holding up some chincey knee hockey target thingy). I used an open tube of bathroom caulk to seal all the pipes together, as well as attaching a short scrap piece of garden hose w/female end to top off the whole assembly. Put a spigot on a cat litter bucket, and connected it all with a piece of "hose saver" garden hose to give a little flexibility without making it flimsy. Oh, and lastly, zip-tied on two of the Bruins "terrible towels" we got from the game we went to last year, plus slid two pieces of scrap wood in the towel for weight. Looks like it should work - I'll follow up with results once it's in action.
