I would love to build a 20x20 rink for my boys. A few obstacles I could really use some feedbac on:
1. Is this feasible in Denver? For those that know Denver, it is a relatively mild winter and often sunny. My backyard gets a decent amount of sun. But I'm hoping that if I can get a cold snap I can create a good base of ice I can maintain. Any thoughts on a cover for the ice during the day to protect from sun?
2. I have some significant slope in my yard. Low point would be about 20 inches. Any suggestions on how I could build up this area of the yard? Mulch bags? Crates?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a 3-year old that asks me every day if I'm going to build the rink today. I don't want to let him down. Thanks.
