Extra Layer of Ice

Postby tmnader » Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:53 pm

Couple weeks back, when we got hit with huge amounts of snow, we built a sledding hill that went on the ice-Lots of fun but paying for it now-an extra layer of ice has formed in the corner where the hill was. I have been building layers all week with some success but have an ice party scheduled for Saturday night. Should I just flood the whole rink again tonight (single digit temps) or take really hot water and try and melt that corner down?

Warning : I'm a first year rink builder, but I would definitely go for hot water if you have that opportunity.
