It's been cold for sure, even going back to early December. I filled the first week, but then spent the next three finishing all my installs and fills. My poor son had to wait until early last week to skate for the first time. Got out there myself for the first time alone tonight...ice was perfectly smooth and so shiny it looked fake. Had to be quiet because we have neighbors nearby, but it was nice to get out and dangle a bit. Having some other hockey dads over tomorrow for a lunch skate before it all turns to soup on Saturday and early next week. We've had some snow in the last month, but for the first time since I launched Elite Rinks 3 years ago, we've getting consistent cold. I was starting to worry winter had lost its touch.
