As long as the snow is gone from atop your slab, rain before a cold snap is just mother nature doing a little resurfacing. Soupy, with any luck, it'll all freeze before any of the water leaks out (if it gets under the slab) and you'll gain some ground. I'm in a similar boat...at one point I had about 1" in my shallow end. I got lucky with a small snow storm, then a warm snap (melted the snow, turned to slush, then froze), and now I have about 5". I have a monster hole somewhere in my liner too, and just hoping we have a cold enough winter that it doesn't matter.
