How much is too much snow?

Hey guys - It sounds like we have a fair amount of snow coming next week so I'm trying to get the rink filled this week. I think I have the right temps but I'm worried about the small amounts of snow that are coming Wednesday and Friday (~1-2").

If you were looking at this forecast, would you fill?

note - I'm planning to go an inch at a time each night between Tuesday and Friday.

I should have noted that my rink is 30 x 48 and it's quite level (I did the survey) with 5" in one corner to get 4" throughout the rest.

You know my answer - FILL! (Ideally fill all at once, but I know you can't...just for others reading).

The great thing about snow is that it happens to be made of the exact same stuff that you are filling your rink with. If you're water isn't frozen when it snows, perfect since the snow will melt upon contact with the water. If you have a ice, then the snow is going to insulate your water and it will take longer to freeze and may cause water to seep onto the ice which could cause a mess. All in all, you have to fill at some point and it's much easier to fill before it snows than after.
