survive a thaw

Hi everyone

Yesterday was a busy day didn't have time to post. There wasn't much to report unable to do any repairing because no freezing weather. Base ice looked good though was feeling good about it.
Woke up this morning... and the rink is... virtually gone. Cooked. Done. I don't know what happened last night but it wiped out everything must have been warm rain. The fight is ove you can't beat mother nature.
There is no way I can do it all over again but can't give up. Does anyone have expierence with those e z jiffy rinks?

Here she is. Hard to believe it was winter wonderland and we were skating on it 4 day's ago lol kind of funny but a real depressing sight. Thhe bankd around it were probably 3 feet high five day's ago. Going to put up e z rink tommorow haha

I have no experience with any Jiffy or EZ Rink but anything I have read is steer clear. You are way better off building a frame and throwing down a liner as opposed to soaking money into one of these contraptions. But again, I am just going off what I have read in many a forum...

There are a ton of people here who have cobbled together a rink using cheap parts. This very blog has instructions on how to do it on the cheap using plywood and wooden stakes. It can be done. Don't waste your money on anything "EZ" or "Jiffy" (unless it's popcorn) or that "Ice N Go" stuff.
