Awoke this morning to a frozen rink however, it looked like a bloody minefield. There had to have been over 100 of those anthill type bumps. Played my league game this morning and flooded from 1-3pm trying to build it up closer to the top of the bumps. Let it freeze for an hour and got my scraper out... started at one end and slowly tried to work my way to the other. It was hopeless - some of the bumps were a foot around and about an inch high. I tossed the scraper to the side of the rink, grabbed a beer and came inside. Might try it again later but I know I won't be skating on it tonight, I have hockey tomorrow and that leaves Tuesday night before the +10'C weather hits. Sad to say but I think the towel has to be tossed - in hindsight I should have scraped that little bit of slush off it before I went to bed last night, it might have made a difference but it might have been for naught.
It was definitely a long and arduous journey this season - one of the hardest to contend with since I started building a rink back there.
