First Skate

Postby jdlom » Thu Jan 19, 2012 10:43 pm

Cold in Chicago! Finally after all the hard work and waiting for cold weather, my kids got to skate today. Looking a little rusty but seeing them skating and having fun was great. Still a little water underneath on the deep end so I couldn't skate with them today, maybe in a day or to. Don't give up on your rink's yet. Keep your sticks on the ice!

We got our first skate in yesterday (Rochester, NY). We're only about 85% covered with ice (25x40 total rink size) but it's supposed to be 50 and rainy here today, with overnight lows in the mid-20s all week, so it felt like yesterday or never!

It was a blast, though!
