Finally filled my rink

Postby jdlom » Wed Jan 11, 2012 9:55 pm

50 degrees in Chicago today and with cold weather and snow in the forecast it was time to put down my liner and fill it with water. Yes, its January 11th. and I was wearing a sweatshirt to finish my rink. We hope it stays cold enough to get some skating and hockey in before the next melt. My family is very exited. Good luck with your back yard rinks everyone. Keep your sticks on the ice!

Its definitely been a tough season so far! Ive been on my partially frozen rink a handful of times, but I dont think its thick enough to support more than just one adult haha! I hope we can still get a couple good months of skating in now that its finally getting cold!

Suburb of Chicago, I filled my rink on Wednesday and today it still is not frozen. So I cant get on it to remove the snow and put water on it. Very frustrating! Keep your stick on the ice!
