Waited till most the snow was melted then shoveled off the edges. Not sure what kind of ice you call it, but all around edges 2' in its soft with air bubbles. If I poke my finger thru the ice the air bubbles inthat spot go away. Their is solid ice under it.. should I flood it?

Never let a wet towel sit still on ice for long when it's really cold. Kind of like a tongue on a metal pole. Happened when I was trying my homboni for first time. I emptied the bucket, stopped to refill it, started off again and the towel and bucket stayed behind.

Forgot to post pics. First skate on Dec. 7. The kids have been on it almost every day. The kids love the fact that the puck bounces off the sides instaed of going into a snowbank like the skateing was on the pond.
