Re: Best Snow shovel known to man or ice?

Manplow shovels are expensive...but they are AMAZING! they use them at the Pond Hockey Classic in Meredith and 2 people can easily clean one of those rinks in about 5 min on skates. They scrape down to the ice well...I am going to buy one next year! http://www.manplow.com

If you want to see tim thomas play hockey...watch the bruins play. I dont have his facebook page and I count myself as a huge Thomas fan. I didnt know any of these th...

Re: Season Winding Down

My rink is doing alright. Its thick enough that it will still be skateable if we get any cold weather. The latest I skated was last year I was able to use about half my rink on april 7th (In shorts and a t-shirt)(weird yet awesome feeling haha) last year because I had huge slope in my yard and the t...

Re: Pouring rain.....

my rink is cooked for the year...bummer 12 inches of heavy wet snow following several very warm days coupled with a deep rink meant floating slab to sinking slab plus crack = season over!
Maple syrup took over anyway so I guess its not all bad.

Re: One of the best things about Pond Hockey??

id use a pond but i don't live near one. i like walking out my backdoor and skating instead of driving somewhere to do so. allows me MANY more opportunities to skate not having to convince myself its a good idea to drive somewhere where there is no net and probably no maintenance done to the ice. Bu...

Re: Rideau Canal Opens on Friday

I went to Ottawa a few years ago! Awesome city! It was in the fall...All I thought about everyday looking out my hotel window at the canal was how awesome it must be skating that in the winter. So jealous...I may have to make another trek up when the bruins are in town and go for a skate and a game ...

Re: My new bench

A nice full moon clear cold calm night (very rare I know) with no lights is probably the best skate you can take!
