If you are able to, resurface and spray with hot water. As strange as it sounds hot water freezes faster than cold water due to whats called Mpemba effect. The chemistry behind it is somewhat complicated but it does work. Hot water not only freezes faster but it will help smooth out any uneven areas...

@ Kdukatz Ive played in the USPH tourney the last 2 years, going on my 3rd. I'd recommend that you wear several layers for it, last year when we played it was -15 f. and -25 including windchill.... really freaking cold! my suggestion would be to get a UA ski mask that is really thin, that way it wil...

Hey all, Glad to be apart of this forum. Ive grown up on a lake all my life and pond hockey has been a part of life, hopefully i can contribute to the group and also get some new ideas for my backyard rink as well.
