Thanks! I think I'm going to remove the snow to avoid a slush issue. My next concern is filling. Will using a hose melt a hole in the ice (15 inches deep)? What i f I move the hose every 20-30 minutes?

A friend of mine just suggested setting up a sprinkler outside 1 corner of the rink, setting the coverage area at 90 degrees and just letting it run. This would obviously avoid the "hole" issue as well as the extensive labor involved with hours of garbage can dumps.

I have some 1/2-1" high ridge and am looking for advice for a power tool to grind them down flat and even with the rest of the ice. I was thinking of using a belt sander or angle grinder??? Any suggestions would be helpful!
