Connecticut rink with big slope

Hello all, It's not October yet, but I'm ready for the cold weather. I can't wait to get started on my second season. Last year, as a test run I did a 12' x 24' rink for my 4 year old and 2 year old to get started on. My slope was large enough that I had about 16" on the deep end and one corner...

My first year I used a few things, 4" cinder blocks, a few bags of sand, and some pallets. I placed a bunch of empty sandbags over the pallets to prevent the water from going down between the slots. The bags of sand got wet and fell apart (luckily only used two bags). Everything else worked fin...
